Community Outreach and Engagement Core COEC

The COEC of the University of Rochester's Environmental Health Sciences Center (EHSC), which is located in the Department of Environmental Medicine, is a source of environmental health information for the entire community. Our programs are designed to respond to the needs of students, teachers, health professionals, public officials and other members of our community. We work with COECs at other NIEHS-funded centers to leverage scientific expertise and support national outreach efforts.

COEC GOALS

1. Address the environmental health issues and concerns identified in the community through a Community Advisory Board and partnerships with community groups.

2. Provide information and education related to environmental health issues to concerned citizens, educators, children, and health professionals.
